In Dubai, a functioning AC isn't a luxury — it's a safety necessity. Temperatures regularly exceed 45°C in summer, and a failed AC in traffic or on the highway can be genuinely dangerous. Pre-summer AC checks in April or May are strongly recommended.

UAE Service Interval
Have your AC system checked annually, ideally in April or early May before Dubai's peak summer heat. Most systems need regassing every 2–3 years. Don't wait until your AC stops working in July — parts and bookings are harder to get during the hottest months.

Why Dubai is different: Dubai's summer temperatures mean your AC system works harder for more months of the year than almost anywhere else. The compressor runs continuously from May through October, and refrigerant leaks under this sustained load. A pre-summer AC check is one of the most valuable services a Dubai driver can do — a failed AC in a traffic jam at 45°C is a health emergency.

An itemised invoice, and the parts we removed handed back. You should be able to see what you paid for.

How often does a Dubai car need AC regassing?
Most vehicles need regassing every 2–3 years under normal use. Dubai's AC systems work longer and harder than in cooler countries, so leaks develop faster. We recommend an annual check and regas when needed rather than waiting for the AC to fail.
What type of refrigerant do you use?
We use R134a for older vehicles and R1234yf for newer models (typically 2015 and newer). We confirm which your vehicle requires before starting and always use the manufacturer-specified refrigerant.
Why does my AC smell bad?
A musty smell usually means bacteria and mould have built up in the evaporator and cabin filter. We replace the cabin filter and treat the evaporator with an antibacterial spray as part of our AC service. This eliminates the smell at source.
Can you fix an AC that doesn't work at all?
Yes, in most cases. We start with a full diagnosis — if it's a refrigerant loss, a failed compressor, or a broken blend door, we'll tell you exactly what it is and quote you before starting any work. Some complex repairs may require a specialist workshop for compressor replacement.
What is the best time of year to service my AC in Dubai?
April or early May, before peak summer heat. At that point the AC has had a winter break and you can catch any developing issues before they become critical in June–September. Bookings are also easier to get than mid-summer when everyone's AC is failing at once.
